Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund has been offered to Bundesliga side Bayern Munich this summer but the German side are not interested.

Earlier this month, Hojlund declared his intention to remain at United after an inconsistent first couple of seasons. The 22-year-old scored 26 goals in 95 appearances for United since signing from Atalanta for £72m in the summer of 2023 and has struggled under manager Ruben Amorim who is seeking to loan him this summer.

The Danish forward has been linked with AC Milan, Inter Milan and now Bayern Munich as Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenburg reports that United have offered him to the Bundesliga champions over the last few weeks.

“Rasmus #Højlund has been and continues to be offered to FC Bayern on loan. The option is on the table, but Bayern have not bitten yet and are exploring other possibilities.

“Napoli are concretely working on a loan deal for Højlund.

“The player’s camp expect that a decision will take a few more days.”

Hojlund was omitted from Ruben Amorim's squad completely for the Premier League defeat by Arsenal. The signing of Benjamin Sesko effectively ends his time in the side whilst the additions of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Joshua Zirkzee in attack, United are now well stocked going forward. Amorim will be hoping to offload him before the transfer window ends in just over a week’s time.
