The Gabon government has lifted their ban on the national team after their Africa Cup of Nations elimination.

Former Sports Minister Simplice-Desire Mamboula slammed the Panthers' exit, branding their performance "disgraceful".

Coach Thierry Mouyouma was sacked, while senior pair Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, of Olympique Marseille, and captain Bruno Ecuele Manga were singled out for major criticism and suspended from the national team.

However, Gabon's new sports minister Paul Ulrich Kessany lifted the measures, which could have led to the suspension of the country's federation (Fegafoot) by Fifa, on Monday.

Fegafoot have also revealed that Kessany has invited them to present him "with all the practical details for the selection of a new technical staff" to replace Mouyouma.
