The 28-year-old has signed a three-year contract at St Andrew’s after leaving Middlesbrough at the end of his deal.
Fry arrives with extensive Championship experience, having made more than 300 senior appearances and nearly 300 for his boyhood club.
He captained Middlesbrough during the 2025-26 season, helping them reach the Championship play-off final, and built a reputation for his aerial strength, leadership and composure.
A product of the Middlesbrough academy, Fry made his debut at 17 and went on to represent England Under-21, earning 11 caps.
He becomes Chris Davies’ second signing of the summer as Birmingham continue strengthening their squad ahead of pre-season in Portugal.
