Both players have been linked with moves away this summer.
"For me, Kaka can stay. Ricardo is a good player and if he stays then we will try to get the best out of him,” reflected Mourinho after watching his Real side beat LA Galaxy 5-1 in a pre-season friendly.
“Last year he played a good season, without being brilliant. Until August 31, his decision and ours is that he stays.
“He is a good player, works for the group and in is determined in games. I’m not going to go into everything, he helps a lot. I don’t need to send him instruction during training or during a match.
“We know each other well and we have been through much together. I know what he thinks and we don’t need to send message between each other.
“The most important thing is that he can decide his future with regards to self-esteem and personal happiness.
“If he decides to stay then we are happy, and if he decides to leave, we are happy also.
“For me, though, there is no problem.”
