Manchester United have been offered encouragement in their pursuit of Valencia fullback Jordi Alba.

Alba is a top target for United and Barcelona, though no deal will be struck until after Spain's Euro2012 campaign.

And its emerged Barca have upset Valencia in recent days after making a hostile raid on their junior team for two U12 players.

The move has infuriated Valencia directors and opened the door for United to take advantage in the battle for Alba's signature.
