Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is lining up a serious push for Barcelona midfielder Sergi Roberto.
Roberto's minders were in contact with Premier League teams over the summer, though ultimately chose to remain at the Nou Camp. Along with United, the midfielder also attracted interest from Manchester City and Chelsea.
Mourinho, reports Don Balon, is ready to revive his interest in Roberto for January.
Key to the move is the midfielder's buyout clause, which at €40m is a bargain given today's market rates.
Mourinho can also tempt Roberto away from Barca with a guarantee of regular football and a huge increase on his current salary.
