Klopp satisfied with Liverpool draw against Man City

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was satisfied after their 1-1 draw with Manchester City.

Alexis Mac Allister's successful penalty canceled out John Stones' opener for City.

Klopp later said: "Sensational. First 10 minutes we were in a bit of a rush and Manchester City were directly there.

"The second half was the best we ever played against Manchester City, definitely.

"They hit the post of course but we should have scored two or three goals. Exceptional football game. Wow!

"For me, we proved today the first time 100% we are exactly where we should be. We will fight for it and see what we can get.

"I don't think I've seen them struggling like they were today. We were outstanding.

"The mother of all results is the performance. The good things we have to keep doing."

On Jeremy Doku's apparent foul on Mac Allister, Klopp said: "I think it's worth talking about. Would you have given a penalty in the situation? Isn't it [VAR] there for making the right decision? This situation in all positions of the pitch is 100% a foul. And it is a yellow card. He hit the ball but, but if the ball is not there he kills him.

"He [Mike Dean] will find something and all the others as well. It's a penalty for all people on the planet."
