Inter Milan coach Andrea Stramaccioni explained dropping Antonio Cassano for victory over Bologna.
Stramaccioni had said Cassano was going to start this game, but instead he was on the bench.
He said: "I wasn't trying to confuse anyone with mind games. The truth is he had a sore neck and I was the one to change my mind at the last minute. He remains the form striker.
"I thought a midfield with Gaby Mudingayi, Walter Gargano and Esteban Cambiasso was the best way to approach Bologna. I knew we had to keep Alessandro Diamanti quiet, so would do that by sending him into the areas against Javier Zanetti and Walter Gargano."
