AC Milan coach Mauro Tassotti says Tottenham deserved their victory last night. Tassotti offered no excuses for the 1-0 Champions League first-leg defeat.
"In the first-half we entered the field a bit timid," Tassotti told acmilan.com , "we had some problems and created little. But there were some great opportunities on both sides.
"In the second half, however, we have created more and there was also the occasion of the goal of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, which was canceled by the referee.
"In the early 45' , we could not create, we wanted to play between their lines, but they were very compact. We knew Tottenham was a very good team and that this would be a difficult game, but we could not try to win at home and create a goal.
"There is nothing to complain to the boys about, apart from a timid start, they did a good second half. Pato came on and played with good intensity.
"Now the qualification is at risk. With the goal they are now the favorites. We have to score a goal, we will try to do it away."
