Former Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri believes sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli can be a success with the Bianconeri.

Sarri knows Giuntoli from their time together at Napoli.

He said at an awards function yesterday: "(Max) Allegri's dismissal? From the outside it's difficult to give an opinion. To understand what happened you have to be inside and experience it.

"It's too easy to say if one or the other was wrong. If winning the Italian Cup is enough? I don't know If the club's motto is 'winning is the only thing that matters', I think that's not enough."

On Giuntoli, he continued: "I believe he will be able to build a Scudetto-winning Juve. Cristiano is the right person, tough, competent and determined. I will always carry him in my heart because in the three years together we have we always got along, giving us satisfaction."
