Marco Neppe leaves Bayern Much after 10 years

Marco Neppe has left his job as Bayern Munich technical director.

Neppe, 37, began his stay at Bayern Munich as a scout in the summer of 2014.

Three years later he was promoted to chief scout. In December 2021, he became technical director.

Now Bayern Munich announces on its official website that Neppe is leaving.

"I would like to thank FC Bayern for the trust, support and above all the opportunity I got here," the 37-year-old tells the club's website.

"It was a challenging, exciting and successful time, with the 2020 triple being the highlight. I wish FC Bayern and its wonderful fans maximum success in the future. FC Bayern will remain a part of my history and I am proud of it."

Jan-Christian Dreesen, CEO of Bayern Munich, thanked Neppe for his time at the club.

"We celebrated many successes during this period, and under Marco Neppe we discovered outstanding talents such as Alphonso Davies and Jamal Musiala, who have matured into world-class players in Munich.

"He was an important factor in squad planning and, not least thanks to his excellent network, also in the implementation of many transfers. We wish Marco Neppe all the best in the future."
