Doucoure: There's a special relationship with Everton

Everton midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure said he felt no temptation to leave the club.

The 31-year-old was presented with offers by clubs such as Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia to leave the Premier League.

However, Doucoure is enjoying himself at the Goodison Park club and does not want to leave anytime soon.

He stated, per The Mirror: “I do know that the special relationship I have with Everton will be forever and is something I'm very happy with."

Doucoure said: “It was very frustrating because I've not had too many injuries.

“This one hurt me and I lost six or seven games in the Premier League. So it was very difficult for me not playing and helping the team because I know my contribution and what I can do for the team.

“I tried to rush back and unfortunately picked up another leg injury so it was difficult, particularly because we didn't win a game… hopefully in the next couple of games I can show my quality and help the team."
