Barcelona coach Xavi fumes: ABSURD this is maximum INJUSTICE

Barcelona coach Xavi blasted the match officials after defeat at Real Madrid.

Barca twice blew the lead to lose 3-2 on Sunday, with Lamine Yamal having a goal disallowed by VAR.

Xavi said: "I am very disappointed. If we want it to be said that it is the best league in the world.... Everyone has seen that the ball has gone in. Everything has fallen on us.

"From Getafe, at the beginning of the season, I already warned that it was not liked what I saw. Today is the accumulation of absurdity. I am proud of the team. I think we were better and competed better. We played well, we generated more and we controlled the game. We lose points for situations that we don't control, like a transition. It's a shame. We deserved more.

"Everyone has seen it, and they can sanction me. It's my image. I just want to talk about the game. We missed the victory due to details, it happens to us because we are under construction. We have to be proud of the game.

"They are two specific situations, beyond the penalty, because in defense we have been very good. We made a mistake in the area and then we did not stop a transition. It is a carbon copy of the game."

On the match officials, he added: "I said yesterday that I wish he went unnoticed and got it right. He did neither.

"My feeling is of maximum injustice. I can't deceive anyone, least of all the fans. It's obvious, everyone has said it."
