The San Diego FC winger, however, highlighted some encouraging signs and offered a positive assessment of the team’s performance.
“I think the result from the first game was a bit unfair," Lozano said.
"I believe we did a lot of good things. As Javier said, there were moments when we showed very interesting things. It’s a process; we’re working hard, and Javier will tell us what we need to improve.
“Like in everything, sometimes you win, sometimes you draw, sometimes you lose.
"Overall, I think the group is doing well, the team is improving a lot, and we’re trying to execute what Javier asks of us on the field. I think we’ve done some very good things.
“It’s a process, and I think we’re improving and working. The important thing is to build a strong group, like a family.
