Pedro Rodríguez (38), one of the few players who won the World Cup in 2010 and is still active, has announced his departure from Lazio at the end of the season.

The Canaries winger, who was also a European champion in 2012 with Spain, has revealed that he is living his last months at the 'Lazial' side after arriving in 2021 from Roma.

"Without a doubt, this will be my last year at Lazio. But I want to leave this team where it deserves to be, in Europe, to create good memories," Pedro told Sky Italia, adding that hanging up his boots is getting closer and closer, although he could still extend his playing career. "Every day that goes by my retirement is getting closer.

And that will not be by numbers. Last season he played 44 games and scored 14 goals. This season he has already played nine games, but has not yet been able to score his first goal.
