Liverpool have confirmed that striker Darwin Nunez has left the club to join Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal.

The 26-year-old struggled to establish himself under Arne Slot last season, scoring seven goals and providing five assists in his 47 games across all competitions.

Liverpool have now confirmed that Nunez has left the club for Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal, ‘subject to international clearance.’

It’s understood that Al-Hilal will pay £46.2m (€53m) plus add-ons that could take the deal to £56.6m for the Uruguay international.

Newcastle’s Alexander Isak is Slot’s number one target to replace Nunez, but Eddie Howe’s side remain adamant he won’t be sold this summer.
