Wilfried Nancy reportedly "retains the backing" of the Celtic board despite his nightmare start to life in Glasgow.

The 48-year-old was brought in as Celtic’s permanent successor for Brendan Rogers, who tendered his resignation back in October.

Nancy’s tenure hasn’t started as planned, however, with Celtic losing all four of their games, including a crucial league tie against Hearts and the League Cup final to St Mirren.

According to Sky Sports, despite ongoing pressure from the fans and his awful start, Nancy “retains the backing” of the Celtic board, who do want to sack him just 15 days into the job.

Celtic’s 2-1 defeat to Dundee United over the weekend sees the Glaswegian giants on their worst run of results since 1978.
