The striker is yet to make an appearance for Newcastle due to various injury setbacks, however, most recently injuring his knee while on international duty with DR Congo.
Eddie Howe’s side were worried they would be without their new striker for nine months, fearing that he had torn his ACL.
According to the Daily Mail, the injury is not as severe as first thought, and Wissa is hoping to make his return to action in the game against former club Brentford on November 9th.
