Jorge Strand Larsen has effectively declared he's staying with Wolves after his two-goal Carabao Cup performance.

The Norway striker saw an offer from Newcastle rejected by Wolves on the weekend and jumped from the bench last night to score twice as Wolves defeated West Ham 3-2 at Molineux.

Afterwards, Strand Larsen told the club's website: “It’s definitely nice to make an impact. When the crowd is going here, it’s one of the best feelings ever, so it’s really nice.

“It was two nice goals too, and I should have had a hat-trick too actually, but for two goals in 15 minutes, it’s not too bad.”

He continued: “I saw Andre was loading up and I thought, ‘Impossible. This isn’t going in!’ I’ve just got to get ready for the rebound. But I got a bit lucky because it came straight to me and I just about got a clean shot, but then I managed to find the top of the net.

“Then, the second goal was a great cross. I think we created such a momentum, especially after Sasa (Kalajdzic) came on. Me and him, we are quite big and we can be quite annoying to play against, so we got some room because of that.

“I think players like Jhon (Arias) and JJ (Bellegarde) and Fer (Lopez) will enjoy playing around us. We created some problems for them in the last 10 minutes and I think that was the reason why we turned it around.”
