Wilson scored in victory at Nottingham Forest before the international break.
And ahead of this weekend's clash with Tottenham, the veteran striker told the club's website: "I think a good performance is only a good performance if you build on it and that's how you then get into form.
“That's how you create good habits. So I think for us as a team, we've had an international break, time to reflect on what's gone well so far, and what's gone badly so far.
“We’ve had players go away (with their national teams), and the other players have had a few days off, so it's a good mental refresh. We all come back together again and then we all get ready to fight again.
“Ultimately, no game is easy in the Premier League and derbies especially are even spicier so, as players, you're looking forward to it. Myself personally, I'm looking forward to it, too.”
