Villa take action as Chelsea move for Rogers

The England winger is emerging as the latest transfer target for big spending Chelsea.

However, the Daily Mail says Villa hope to convince Rogers to re-commit his future with them by offering an improved deal.

The 22 year-old only penned a new contract in November, but Villa are prepared to recognise Rogers' growing influence on manager Unai Emery's team.

Last season, the attacker scored  14 goals and produced 15 assists in all competitions.
