Eberechi Eze and Viktor Gyokeres bagged braces this weekend as they ripped apart Tottenham in a 4-1 win in the North London derby, extending Arsenal’s lead at the top of the table.
During the clash, as reported by football.london, a Shutterstock pic showed a person in the home end of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium leaning over the advertising boards with a picture of Rice's partner on his phone's screen.
Jeers, boos and catcalls are normal during the derby, but an incident such as this has been deemed “vile” by many outlets as the picture is shared on social media.
His partner, Lauren Fryer, cleared her Instagram account in 2024 following a barrage of disgusting trolling online over her appearance.
This is the latest piece of abuse thrown at Rice’s partner, who is now being used to attack the midfielder who is leading The Gunners towards their first Premier League title in over two decades.
Rice has provided 10 goal contributions in 26 league matches this season and scored two decisive goals in the win over Bournemouth last month.
This season has been compared to Premier League greats such as Steven Gerrard due to his leadership qualities, something the Tottenham side who are heading for relegation have severely lacked under multiple managers.
