Newcastle watching Brentford striker Thiago

The Sunday Express says Newcastle are watching the Brazilian, who has been outstanding for the Bees in the opening months of the season.

After recovering from a knee injury suffered last term Thiago is living up to the reputation created while with Club Brugge.

While bringing in Nick Woltemade and Yoane Wissa over the summer, Newcastle remain in the market for another centre-forward and Thiago is on the agenda.

Newcastle recruitment chief Steve Nickson is a big fan of Thiago and has scouted the 24 year-old since his days at home in Brazil.
