Nottingham Forest have reportedly opened talks with Morgan Gibbs-White over a new contract as they look to fend off interest from Tottenham, who have already submitted a bid for the midfielder.

Tottenham were under the impression the 25-year-old would become their player after activating his ‘secret’ £60 million release clause.

The Athletic then reported that Nottingham Forest were considering taking Spurs to court due to what they believed was a ‘illegal’ approach.

Gibbs-White has since flown to Portugal to join up with his teammates as they prepare for the upcoming 2025-26 season.

Now, according to David Ornstein, Forest have now entered talks with the England international over a new deal at the club.

Tottenham are still pushing to sign the attacking midfielder but he is now expected to stay in a huge boost to Nuno Espirito Santo and his side.
