Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta provided a vague update regarding Declan Rice's fitness after the midfielder was substituted in their 2-0 Premier League win over Brentford on Wednesday (December 3).

The 26-year-old was replaced by Viktor Gyokeres late in the game after picking up what appeared to be a knee injury.

Spanish defender Cristhian Mosquera was also forced off in the first half with a potential groin injury, but he was able to walk of the pitch.

Rice is probably the last player Arsenal would want to have an injury lay off considering how good he’s been in their title charge so far this season.

William Saliba, Gabriel, Kai Havertz, and Leandro Trossard all missing the win over Brentford as the injuries start to pile up for Arteta’s side.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Arteta gave a very vague update, saying: "We'll know more tomorrow. They need to be tested. Declan had to come off...let's see who is available."
