Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo is working hard for the club as teams line up a bid to steal him away.

United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo is keeping himself in shape and out of drama during the October international break as he attempts to try and work himself back into manager Ruben Amorim’s plans.

The England international handed in a loan request in the summer after a lack of game time at the club, but no move materialized, despite many teams reportedly interested.

The arrivals of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo have pushed him out of the squad, but journalist Fabrizio Romano suggests that Mainoo is being very professional as several sides have their interest piqued.

"At the moment, Kobbie is not creating any problems, training at his best, trying his best for Man United, but he’s still not a regular starter and Kobbie wants to play.

"That has not changed since August. In August, Man United said, ‘No, you stay here. No chance even for a loan’. And Kobbie only wanted a loan and never a permanent transfer. In January, we will see because it’s still October.

"So now full focus on training, working hard for United, but for January, the case of Kobbie Mainoo might become interesting again because several clubs from England, from Spain, and also from Italy, Napoli, and not only, are interested in Kobbie, on loan."

Mainoo has not yet started a Premier League match for United this season and despite his work ethic, Amorim is unlikely to start him anytime soon, which only pushed him out the side more.
