Gibbs-White was on the scoresheet as the win took Forest three points above the Premier League dropzone.
He later enthused: "Massive three points for us, especially with how the Premier League table looks now.
"The boys were absolutely incredible. Tottenham are a really good team and they started playing better than us. We needed to be together as a team and we showed that. But as soon as we got the second goal, we got that edge to breathe a little bit.
"They have got incredible talent but we showed that fight, hunger and desire more than them. When we had our chances, we took them. It was a perfect time to score the opener that allowed us to play the football again.
"I am pleased how the week has gone and the boys deserved it. Taking a win today going into the international break is perfect for us. We can all relax a bit and hit the ground running with positive vibes coming into the next weeks."
