The likes of Enzo Fernandez, Axel Disasi, Raheem Sterling have all been linked with a move away from the side this month as transfer rumours ramp up just weeks away from the end of the winter window.
Another name on the list is Fofana, who is currently on a season-long loan in Turkey with Fatih Karagumruk. The forward has made just 3 appearances for Chelsea since his move from Molde and the club are eager to get him off the books.
This comes from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano who has revealed that Chelsea want to see him leave permanently.
“Chelsea recall David Datro Fofana from loan as he’s set for new move in the upcoming days/weeks.
“#CFC and Fofana’s camp working on a permanent exit.”
With Celtic having been linked before in the transfer window, the Scottish giants are said to be first in the running to snap up the Ivorian who is keen to find a permanent club after a series of underwhelming loans.
The forward has 6 goals so far for Karagumruk in 13 appearances and scored in their last clash with Basaksehir. The 23-year-old was signed for around £8.4M and the Premier League side are set to make a loss on the striker if sold.
