Trevoh Chalobah is set to be a late addition to Thomas Tuchel's England squad as he prepares to replace Crystal Palace's Marc Guehi.

The Three Lions have already qualified for next summer's tournament, but face Andorra and Serbia in their next World Cup qualifiers as Tuchel tweaks and adjusts his side ahead of next year’s World Cup.

Guehi has been forced to miss the break due to an injury sustained for Crystal Palace in their Conference League clash against AZ Alkmaar. He missed the weekend’s clash against Brighton, in which the Eagles kept a clean sheet.

Chalobah has featured in all but four matches for Chelsea this season and, as reported by The BBC, earned his first call-up to the England squad back in May under Tuchel. The young centre-back then made his debut in a defeat to Senegal, but he's yet to add to his single cap for his country.

The 26-year-old will join Reece James as the two Chelsea players in the latest England camp, where Tuchel will be monitoring every player ahead of making his World Cup selection.

Tuchel’s men have won all six of their group games without conceding a single goal, scoring 18 in the process. The German head coach may be watching Chalobah closely as if Guehi is injured ahead of the tournament, he will be the player to step up to the mark in defense.

Chalobah will now be competing with Dan Burn, Ezri Konsa, Jarell Quansah, and John Stones for a starting place so he must be at his best to be within a chance of grabbing a spot under Tuchel who has some big decisions to make.
