Currently away with Egypt at the World Cup, Salah will be on the lookout for a new club once their tournament is over.
The 34-year-old is officially a free agent following his release from Liverpool, a club where he spent nine years, scoring an incredible 257 goals in 442 games.
According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Atletico Madrid have made the legendary forward their top target for this summer.
It’s understood Diego Simeone’s side see Salah as the perfect replacement for Antoine Griezmann, following his move to Orlando City.
The only potential stumbling block is Salah’s wages. Despite his free agent status, it’s understood Atletico would have to fork out a substantial fee to Salah to the club.
