After overcoming his doping ban and blackmail attempt, Pogba is now closing on a playing comeback with Monaco.
Older brother Florentin, who is now with Stade Poitevin FC, said: "It's always nice to see my brother training with a group again. He's been sidelined for a long time, but now he needs to get back to training slowly. We don't want to rush things; the goal is long-term. I think he'll do well for Monaco and also for France."
Florentin revealed that Paul had just enjoyed three days of rest during the international break before returning to training with his teammates: "I've seen him through every stage, from when he reached 97-98 kilos and then got back into shape. It's good to see him like this today; I'm sure he'll bring joy to the French."
Then, inevitably, a comment on the family controversy with brother Mathias: "On a human level, it was a storm, a tsunami. But the essentials haven't changed. We've been through difficult times, but we remain united. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. And that will make us even stronger."
