The 20-year-old, who joined the club through Metz’s long-standing partnership with Generation Foot in Senegal, is now expected to continue his career in the Gulf.
Toure made his Ligue 1 debut last season after emerging during Metz’s successful promotion campaign and went on to make 30 top-flight appearances as a defensive midfielder.
The reported deal is worth €7 million, with a further €3 million in potential bonuses, and the Senegal youth international has been granted permission to negotiate personal terms.
Toure is set to become one of several departures following Metz’s relegation to Ligue 2, with defender Sadibou Sane also close to joining AS Monaco on a five-year contract.
