Management are eager to secure their coach to a new contract, though Marcelino is currently playing his cards close to his chest.
He said this morning ahead of their clash with Girona: "There's no movement.
"That is to say, when negotiations were established at the time, it was agreed that they would be put on hold; both sides felt it would be better for the team.
"A win or a loss won't change anything because the objective hasn't been achieved. From here, we'll see. When the season ends, we'll see if the coaching staff continues or not."
