Now he reveals that rival Real Madrid tried to lure him away earlier in his career.
"It is true that there was such interest," Fermín tells 3CAT. "But my father told me very little. If he had asked me for my opinion, I would have chosen Barça anyway because it was my big dream."
Fermín is living his dream right now.
"I am very happy to have made it a reality, and I hope I can stay here for many years," he added.
