Mohamed Salah could be omitted from Liverpool’s Champions League trip to face Inter Milan this week.

Salah's claimed he had been “thrown under the bus” by the club, who have famously struggled this season. The Egyptian king’s future at Anfield is in question as he makes headlines for all the wrong reasons in what has been a nightmare week for Liverpool

The winger claimed that he should be a guaranteed starter because of what he's done for Liverpool in the past, despite his poor form and now as the Reds prepare to face Inter Milan on Tuesday night, manager Arne Slot has a huge decision to make.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported that Salah could miss the clash against the Italian giants as many speculate that he has played his final game for the side.

“Mo Salah could be out of Liverpool squad set to travel to Italy in order to face Inter on Tuesday.

“Internal discussions taking place after Salah’s strong words, with final verdict to follow today.

“Arne Slot will speak to the press later today.”

Salah has now been named on the bench in each of the Reds' last three Premier League matches and after such an outburst at the weekend he is unlikely to feature any time soon as Slot tries to turn his side around.

Take out penalties, and Salah has scored six goals in 33 games for the club in all competitions since late February. He has simply not been good enough and the January transfer window may be his escape route as Liverpool fans stand back and watch what is a sad ending for the iconic winger.
