He later said, "It's a good win for us. It was very close in the first half. It was an even game and both teams had chances, but the goal allowed us to express ourselves and go on to control the game."
Gordon is now hunting down Alan Shearer's record as the club's top scorer in Europe.
He continued: "I'm just a couple behind him overall! I'm enjoying the run and the competition. It was nice to score again tonight and hopefully I can keep it going."
