Previous reports have suggested that Woltemade, 23, is keen on a move to the Bundesliga champions and has agreed personal terms.
Stuttgart are reluctant to sell, however, and have turned down two bids from Bayern Munich, with the most recent been around €55 million.
Speaking to the media during a post-match conference, sporting director Max Eberl said: "I think we've said enough about it. We've tried hard to get the player, but Stuttgart hasn't signaled that they want to talk.
“So the matter is off the table for us. There's no stop until September 1st. There's always some movement. But for now, we're in the lead. We're calm, we have our squad in place, and we'll see what happens."
