The 20-year-old Bournemouth winger received a call up to Steve Clark’s side despite only playing 53 minutes across four Premier League games.
Scotland already have a play-off spot in the bank, but if they avoid defeat against Greece on Saturday (November 15) and then beat Denmark three days later, they will qualify for next year’s World Cup automatically.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Gannon-Doak appear confident, saying: "I have no doubt in my mind that we're going to go (to the World Cup).
"They'll be looking for a bit of revenge this weekend. Obviously, we're all aware we weren't at our best against Greece, but we still won, which is a sign of a good side.
"We're all just relaxed. When we get closer to time, we'll focus up and we'll go out and get the job done."
