Guehi, in the final year of his contract at Selhurst Park, has attracted interest from clubs including Liverpool and Inter, with a potential free transfer next summer.
Sky Germany reported that Eberl met earlier this week with Guehi’s agent, Gordon Stipic, to discuss a possible deal.
With Guehi having rejected a new Palace contract, he is expected to depart next summer, though a January move for a minimal fee remains possible.
"It's absolutely clear that we as Bayern Munich are exploring the market. Our clear goal is to extend Upa's contract,” Eberl told DAZN.
“That's our ultimate goal. If that doesn't work out, we have to be prepared. We would be foolish not to. That's the reason. I've not confirmed anything, but we are active in the market."
