Ajax and technical director Jordi Cruyff are intent on pushing the reset button in Amsterdam, with 21 first-team players put on the transfer list.

Jordi Cruyff joined the Amsterdam club in February after Alex Kroes announced his departure from the club in November. Kroes took responsibility for the dire situation in Amsterdam, where manager John Heitinga was fired in November.

Following Cruyff's arrival, interim manager Fred Grim was demoted in March, and his successor, Óscar García, finished fifth with Ajax, posting the joint-lowest points total since 1962, and then qualified for the UEFA Conference League qualifiers by beating FC Utrecht on penalties in the Dutch play-off final.

After it was revealed that Cruyff wants to bring in 10-15 new first-team players, with up to 7 of those for the starting XI, it is now clear which players the former FC Barcelona director wants to get rid of. Jordi Cruyff reportedly listed 21 players for sale on the TransferRoom platform, an online marketplace where clubs, players, and agents can trade in real time.

Ajax are reportedly looking to at least a central midfielder, a striker, full-backs "who can play in central positions", game-changers on the wings and a new goalkeeper, according to Voetbal International.

Former Girona manager Míchel joined Ajax this week after putting pen to paper on a two-year contract.
