Amidst FA charges, Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has revealed that members of his own family actually support Tottenham.
Wilshere has been charged by the FA for swearing in a derogatory manner directed at north London rivals Spurs on Arsenal's open-top bus victory parade following their FA Cup triumph over Aston Villa recently.
However, the 23-year old feels that it was simply a little bit of fun as even some of his family are Tottenham fans.
"I've always had that bond with the Arsenal fans since I was young because I came through the ranks at the club," he said.
"I grew up at Arsenal and I love the fans, but believe it or not, I've actually got family who are Tottenham fans so it's nothing personal against them, it was just a bit of fun.
"I'm a bit disappointed with it [charge]. But I don't think I'm really in a position to comment about it at the moment. It's being dealt with by the FA and my club."
