While the likes of Mason Mount, Reece James and Callum Hudson-Odoi are likely to be a part of the first team picture this season, there are other players whose future is less certain.

The likes of Fikayo Tomori, Michy Batshuayi and Kenedy do not know if they will be staying at the club, going out on loan or permanently sold before the window closes.

According to Goal, Lampard has yet to make a final decision on these players.

He will assess them during pre-season before deciding whether they have a future at the club under his leadership.

Lampard is leading a youth revolution at Chelsea, driven in part by their FIFA transfer ban.

It gives the likes of Batshuayi and Kenedy a greater than expected chance to stake a claim for a first team spot.

The Gunners lost the match 3-2 on penalties after normal time ended 2-2.

Speaking after the match, Emery said: "Ainsley started the warm-up but he felt some muscular pain.

"We decided not to risk him. Our objective was not to take injuries so we decided he didn't play

"Mustafi's the same. He had some muscular pain.

"Yes [it's a calf problem for Ainsley]. "I hope it's not more and not a big injury. But he was starting to feel pain in his calf and we decided it was better for him not to play."

The Gunners went up 2-0 before goals from Gareth Bale and Marco Asensio before falling 3-2 on penalties.

It was the first loss of Arsenal's preseason, but Emery has taken plenty of positives from the preparations.

Emery said: "We are very happy - we finished the last match today, with the same players as before. You've seen different players, taking minutes and confidence.

"The result is not important but in the match today we showed a good level. When we needed young players, their performances were perfect.

"I'm very happy - the team worked well every day and the tour was perfect for us to be in the USA. We had a lot of fans in Los Angeles, Denver, Charlotte and here - and [to see them] for us is important."

Wenger left Arsenal a year ago, with Emery taking over and leading the team to a Europa League final.

However, they failed to claim a top four position in the league, which means they will not be in the Champions League next term.

The Spaniard hopes that his team can show better quality next term as he seeks to take the club into a new post-Wenger era.

He said during a press conference in pre-season: "First, I respect all the good things Wenger was doing here. I want to continue the good things and also change some tactical things and philosophy to progress.

"My idea is the same: I want a team with good positioning, good combination between the players, and also good experience in all situations, being able to attack and play with a big intensity.

"I like the energy, I like to be protagonists and this way is one process. I think we can take some matches last year where we can see this is our philosophy, our match, the intensity we want to create 100%.

"At other times we couldn't do that. But my challenge and our challenge is to continue developing with individual players and with tactical objectives to achieve and through it to take the best performance."

The two Premier League heavyweights go head to head in China as part of their pre-season tours.

While it is a friendly, Alli believes that Spurs can lay down a marker ahead of the coming league campaign.

"We want to challenge ourselves against the top sides and Man United's a great team," Alli said to reporters ahead of the game.

"It's another challenge and we keep preparing for the start of the season.

"But like the game you saw the other day against Juventus, we took it very seriously and we're going to take this game serious and make sure we put in a good performance."

Wood managed his sixth goal of pre-season as he helped his team to a 2-0 success.

Ali Koiki put them ahead after 43 minutes, with Wood getting his goal just short of the 60th minute.

Several players got a run out, with manager Sean Dyche making nine substitutions at half time.

Burnley are in the thick of their pre-season preparations as they seek to avoid last season's nail biting relegation dogfight.

Wood has been one of their most consistent performers in pre-season and he will be hoping to take that form into the Premier League games in August.

"It's going to be a great season," he told the Express & Star.

The Republic of Ireland U21 star will be playing in the Championship next term as he seeks regular game time.

Molumby has also put pen to paper on a two year contract with Brighton, as he hopes to be a part of their first team plans in the 2020/2021 season.

Brighton under-23 coach Simon Rusk said of the new contract and loan move: "This move comes at the right time for Jayson and his new deal is well deserved after plenty of hard work over the past few years.

"Jayson has always had the desire to take his game to the next leve and the opportunity to play senior football in the second tier will certainly give him the chance to do that.

"The Championship is one of the most competitive leagues in the world, and we hope Jayson makes the very most of his time at Millwall during the upcoming season."

The Hornets suffered a double blow with Nathaniel Chalobah and Isaac Success suffering injuries.

However, both problems are revealed as minor, which means they should be back in full training very soon.

They suffered the injuries in preseason games against Ajax and Bayer Leverkusen.

"Chalobah has a little problem and we'll see when we come back," said Gracia to reporters.

"I think he has to do some tests but I trust he will come back quickly.

"[Success] has a little problem with his hamstring, but it is better to stop one day than to regret a worse injury.

"I prefer to stop. I am sure in two or three days he will be ready."

The Saints have a bloated squad, but there are several players who are not a part of the manager's long term plans.

However, Hasenhuttl believes that several moves will happen in the coming weeks, allowing his 23-man league squad to take shape.

He said to reporters: "I think in the next two weeks the transfer rumours will turn to facts because the clubs are now forced to do something.

"Every team wants to change a few players and bring new players in.

"I am sure the squad we see today is not the squad we will see on the first game day for sure, and every change we make let's have a look.

"We have more time and I am sure we will have one or the other transfers."
