Newcastle United fullback Kieran Trippier was delighted with their win at Nottingham Forest.
Bruno Guimaraes scored twice for the 3-2 win.
Trippier later said: "It's massive for us. We've spoken a lot about doing the basics again and turning our performances into positive results. This is no easy place to come and we had to work for it.
"Forest are a quality side and are very dangerous on the transition. In moments it's going to happen. Martin (Dubravka) made some good saves."
On the top four, he said: "Never say never but it's going to be tough. It's been mixed emotions for us this season. It's about finishing the season strong. We have one game a week now and we're getting players back fit, which is very important for us."
On Guimaraes, Trippier added: "When Bruno plays further up he shows his magic. I'm delighted for him. The calmness he has brought to the team since he arrived has been brilliant."
