Tottenham duo Matt Doherty and Dejan Kulusevski have spoken about a surprise they received from captain Harry Kane recently.

The duo stated that Kane was in the Spurs dressing room during their friendly against Nice on Wednesday evening.

Spurs were winning the game 1-0 at half time, and were then happy to see Kane back and ready to rejoin training with his teammates later this week.

“He came in at half-time. It was unexpected. We didn't know. We're obviously close friends. It was good to have him back," explained Doherty, per football.london.

Kulusevski added: "Yeah, like I was surprised he came today. I thought he was coming back like Friday so it was good to see him back in the game now."

"Yeah absolutely. He has a nice break, you know and it was very good to see him. I can't wait to play with him," Kulusevski continued.
