The Daily Express says a January deal is now under consideration.

Eriksen is set to depart north London in either January or next summer with his contract running down and no extension in prospect.

Tottenham have apparently wasted no time in identifying a replacement for the Dane, with Ziyech top of their list of targets.

The Morocco international has impressed during his time at Ajax and was in fine form last week as they drew 4-4 with Chelsea.

After victory over Crystal Palace, Mount says there is a family feel to Chelsea at the moment.

"Even before the game, we were looking at the Under 18 score, away at Tottenham," Mount said.

"They were 4-0 up after 20-something minutes, so we focused on our game, but we're watching the academy boys as well, because we were there not long ago. It's like a proper club."

The South Korean star fired Spurs ahead in the second half, but the impressive Blades responded with a goal disallowed by VAR and then the equaliser from George Baldock on 78 minutes.

It was a tough game, but we're disappointed we only get this one point, really disappointed," reflected Son to his club's website. We tried to create chances, we had chances to score and we should be more clinical in front of goal. We were 1-0 up, I think we should get the three points.

Sheffield United did a great job, I have to say that. They created chances and caused us problems. It's really disappointing and frustrating."

His goal capped an emotional week after Andre Gomes' unfortunate injury at Everton last weekend and his two-goal show in the 4-0 win against Red Star in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Son concluded, I still feel, when I think about the situation, I'm so sad and as I said before, I realise how lucky I am with team-mates, coaching staff and staff, supporters from the other side of the world as well, they sent me such strong messages. This is the right answer to the people who have supported me, to respect the football and respect the people."

Wilder called for a major review of VAR after Jon Moss failed to follow the Premier League's OWN guidelines to deny Sheffield United a famous victory.

After video ref Moss controversially ruled out a Blades goal at Tottenham following FOUR MINUTES of analysis.

Wilder said: I'm 100 per cent sick of talking about VAR.

We went to a Premier League meeting on Thursday to discuss VAR and they told us that any offside had to be clear and obvious.

Well, this wasn't clear and obvious because there seems to be confusion about whether the Tottenham player's armpit was ahead of John Lundstram's big toe.

There's no doubt that VAR is here to stay but certain aspects it are spoiling the game and we need to have a big look at it in the summer.

I've been in the game since I was 16 and some of the decisions this season have left me scratching my head.

There was for us also confusion as to when is the reset. Lundstram has crossed from the right, the ball has come back out, we've attacked down the left side and then they rule offside from the first cross.

What really disappoints me is the talking point should be how my team went toe- to-toe with the Champions League finalists in their own backyard but all we're speaking about is VAR."

Spurs again struggled yesterday for their 1-1 draw with Sheffield United.

Sissoko later told RMC Sport: "We've been battling since the start of the season. Why? I don't know, because we're doing our best, but it's not enough. It was a difficult match against a good team.

"We were unable to keep the result, so we have a lot of frustration, but we need to move on. We must remain united and try to work hard and come back stronger. Every team can have difficult moments.

"We have been battling for a few weeks and this is football. What can you do? Keep working, do your best every day until everything turns out better. We know we have a good team with a lot of quality. We know we can do better and we need to do better.

"The season is still long, we are doing well in the Champions League."

The Mirror says United are shock contenders to sign Ajax's 50million-rated keeper Onana just two months after handing David De Gea a new 350,000-a-week contract.

Ajax have slapped a huge asking price on the Cameroon international after United joined Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain in asking to be kept informed of any plans to sell the 23-year-old.

Spurs have lost skipper Hugo Lloris for the season with a dislocated elbow.

United's interest has shocked officials at Ajax, where former United keeper Edwin van der Sar is chief executive.

Onana is under contract at the Amsterdam Arena until June 2022 after extending his current deal with the Eredivisie club at the end of March.

The Mirror says Tottenham are ready to make a 50million move for Manchester United flop Depay.

The Dutch striker has enjoyed a new lease of life after moving to Lyon and is also now an integral part of Ronald Koeman's impressive Holland side.

Lyon rescued Depay from an underwhelming time at Old Trafford in which he was better known for his flamboyance off the pitch rather than his performances on it.

But since arriving in France in January 2017 the 25-year-old has matured and gone from strength to strength.

That has attracted the attention of a number of leading clubs including Tottenham who have had the speedy forward regularly scouted including in the two recent Champions League games between Lyon and Benfica.

"That's the next stage for Tammy. He's shown there are so many parts to his game. Today was difficult because there was not much space in to his feet. It's the game where you work a lot for a goal but he did that."

Spurs were ahead via a close-range finish from Heung-Min Son on 58 minutes only to concede almost immediately David McGoldrick's goal then ruled out by VAR for offside before eventually George Baldock somewhat fortuitously found the far corner from the right angle on 78 minutes.

It was an even game," stated Pochettino. They started better than us, in the first half they were better, and we didn't match their energy. It was difficult for us to play and create chances.

In the second half I thought we were better. We were a little unlucky because we got the goal, broke them down and to concede after that was tough to accept because the three points were important for us, but now we have to keep working.

It's frustrating because we didn't keep the result (after being ahead) and, of course, we're disappointed because we needed the three points but at the end, a draw is a fair result."

Meanwhile, the manager reported that Tanguy Ndombele was withdrawn at half-time with a groin injury.

We need to assess him," he added. Let's hope it's not a big issue."
