Southampton striker Adam Armstrong has insisted that his side are very much in the cup tie against Newcastle United after the first leg.
The Saints lost the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi final at home to the Magpies, going down 1-0 at St. Mary's Stadium.
However, Armstrong does not believe such a narrow defeat is a death knell for their chances of making the final.
Post-game, Armstrong said: "We knew we had a few chances in the second half we have to do better with. They score a goal on the break and it's hard to take when you're digging in so well and creating chances.
"But we can't get too down, we're still in it and it's going to be a massive game next Tuesday. There's massive excitement, it's going to be a huge game. It's going to be a great atmosphere with both sets of fans."
