Sevilla have become the latest team to launch their own club shop on ecommerce platform Amazon, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.
The new online outlet will be responsible for distributing the La Liga outfit's merchandising and licensed products. The store is currently populated with 110 items, with that figure set to grow once the club add products from their technical sponsor Nike.
Previously Sevilla's merchandise had been sold in a decentralised way, but fans will now be able to buy all products licensed by the club in one place.
Sevilla said in an official statement that their decision to launch a club store on Amazon was based on the number of times users searched for the team on the ecommerce website. The club added that they expect the move to create a significant new revenue stream.
