REVEALED: The knockdown fee Everton paid to sign Gueye

Everton have signed PSG midfielder Idrissa Gueye for a knockdown fee.

L'Equipe says Everton paid just €2m to take Gueye back to Goodison Park after three years away.

It had been previously claimed Everton had coughed up €10m to sign the midfielder.

Gueye said: "Coming back here was important for me because I feel at home.

"I have followed the team every week and watched how they play. For me, there is no better place than Everton, that's why I chose to come back here. There is also a great atmosphere in the stadium and everyone here is like a family."
