Renzo Nadin says Tottenham's swift move for Guglielmo Vicario was key to burning off major Serie A competition.
The former Empoli goalkeeper moved to Tottenham last week for €20m.
Nadin signed Vicario when sporting director of Fontanafredda and told Sportitalia: "Inter had been following him for some time and were thinking precisely of Guglielmo in case (Andre) Onana left.
"Juve were also interested.
"After all, already a year ago he should have gone to Lazio, while later there were Napoli and Fiorentina."
