Nigeria coach Jose Peseiro insists Napoli striker Victor Osimhen could play for any team in the world.

Peseiro says Osimhen could also win the Ballon d'Or - should he target it.

He told AS: "He is a star, because of his ability to score goals, to fight, to press. A player who is very strong offensively. The pressure he puts on defenders is a lot. He has vigor, aggressiveness, speed, power and he has a goal. He is crazy about scoring goals.

"Napoli is a very strong team. It has been champion in Italy. He is in the Champions League. His sale did not materialize because he has a president (Aurelio De Laurentiis) who is strong, very tough. We all know him, he was the one who put Napoli where ite is. A club that was in bad shape financially and that has done a fantastic job to make Napoli champion of Italy.

"It was he who did everything to not sell Osimhen, or sell him at the price he wants. The certainty I have is that Osimhen's end will be one of the best teams in Europe.

"He can play for any top team: Madrid, Bayern, United, City..."

On winning the Ballon d'Or in the future, Peseiro adds: "Why not? If he gets into his head... We don't know. He has different characteristics, for example, than Mbappé. We don't know who will be the best now after Cristiano and Messi finish that fight. Someone will be. Osimhen can fight for it."
